William Paul Freeman, Ed.M, MBA, MSEd, CRCT is an urban music educator with demonstrated successes in culturally responsive and community relevant music programming. He is the Director of Guitar Studies at The Mojave High School in North Las Vegas, Nevada. Freeman’s ensembles have been invited to play for the Nevada State Superintendents’ Conference, have received high marks in-competition including the 2020 Clark County School District Guitar Festival, and regularly draw crowds of over 1000 at public performances.

Mr. Freeman is particularly skilled in classroom management, community/parent engagement, and data-oriented music instruction. Freeman holds degrees in music performance, elementary education, educational leadership, and business administration. He is licensed by the Nevada Department of Education in K-12 Music, K-8 Elementary, and is currently pending K-12 Administration and 7-12 Business Education endorsements. He is currently pursuing an Ed.D./Ed.S. in Educational Leadership and Music Education from St. Leo’s University.

Mr. Freeman began his career in the Clark County School District during the Fall 2015 semester while simultaneously completing the Clark County School District’s Alternate Route to Licensure. His first teaching assignment was as a fifth grade teacher at Oran K. Gragson Elementary School in Las Vegas. While at Gragson, Freeman taught in departmentalized, “flipped,” and traditional configuration. He completed significant literacy and English Language Learner professional development while at Gragson. Freeman chaired the school’s finance and fundraising committee, designed and built the school’s website, sat on dozens on IEPs, and was a member of the Sunshine Committee.

After three years teaching in the general education setting, Freeman transferred to The Mojave High School in North Las Vegas, Nevada as the new Director of Guitar Studies in Mojave’s award-winning guitar program.

Freeman has completed musical studies at Canisius College, Harvard University, the Eastman School of Music, George Mason University, and the University of Nevada, Las Vegas
